THE PATRIOT SOIL FLAG
The Patriot Soil Flag is a memorial honoring the service, sacrifice, and bravery of America’s heros — uniting the nation through remembrance and gratitude.A FLAG LIKE NO OTHER
“The Flag That Holds America’s Soil, Star by Star”The Patriot Soil Flag, meticulously handcrafted by Gettysburg Flag Works, holds a distinction unmatched in American history. Within each embroidered star rests a sealed vial containing soil gathered from more than 100 veterans’ cemeteries across all 50 states. Each vial is blended with a portion of earth from Arlington National Cemetery and secured to its corresponding star on the flag, forging a lasting connection to the final resting places of those who have bravely served.
From the earliest battles for independence to modern-day conflicts overseas, the sacred soil reflects the sacrifices made throughout every chapter of our nation’s military history. This flag does not distinguish between titles or ranks — it pays tribute to everyday Americans who displayed extraordinary courage. Every element woven into it stands as a tangible symbol of the selflessness and unwavering dedication of our nation’s veterans.
A National Journey
The Patriot Soil Flag is set to embark on a historic journey across America, beginning in Nashville, Tennessee. Along the way, it will honor and connect with leaders, veterans, first responders, Gold Star families, and American citizens who have answered the call to serve. The flag will return to the cemeteries from which its soil was gathered, offering communities a meaningful opportunity to hold the flag, reflect, and commemorate their connection.
This journey is inspired in part by the enduring legacy of Gary Sinise and was nurtured early in its vision by Frank Siller. Their unwavering commitment to honoring America’s heroes, through the Gary Sinise Foundation and the Tunnel to Towers Foundation, reflects the same spirit that guides this mission.
The ultimate goal is to present the Patriot Soil Flag to the President of the United States and secure a permanent home within the Smithsonian Institution, preserving this extraordinary tribute for future generations.
This is more than a tour — it a living symbol of courage and patriotism. Every visit, every photograph, and every hand that touches the flag carries a story of valor, sacrifice, and the unbreakable bond of a grateful nation.
