ABOUT THE FLAG’S FOUNDERS
With every soil sample gathered and cemetery honored, the founders of the Patriot Soil Flag aim to deepen awareness, gratitude, and remembrance for the service and sacrifice of our nation’s veterans.THE FOUNDERS OF THE PATRIOT SOIL FLAG
About Us — Mary & Gary RobinsonThe Patriot Soil Flag was brought to life through the unique vision and tireless dedication of Mary and Gary Robinson, founders of the Patriot Soil Project (patriotsoil.org). Both former U.S. military members, they have spent the past decade traveling the country, personally gathering soil from over 100 veterans’ cemeteries across all 50 states, including Arlington National Cemetery.
Each collection of soil represents a connection to those who served, preserving their memory in a tangible and lasting way. Placed in vials and sewn within the stars of the flag, this sacred earth becomes a symbol of respect, remembrance, and unity, allowing others to reflect on the legacy of those who gave everything.
“Each vial carries soil from the final resting places of courageous veterans. Each star on the flag now holds that soil, inviting everyone to honor them and stand with history.”
— Mary & Gary Robinson
The Founders — Support Through Music
Gary Robinson proudly served in the 82nd Airborne Division from 1974 to 1977. Mary Robinson is a veteran of the United States Air Force, serving from 1978 to 1982. Together, they have dedicated their lives to honoring America’s defenders — not only those who have fallen in service, but all who have served throughout our nation’s history.
A Theatre Arts major, Gary has spent more than 45 years writing poetry and songs, creating more than 250 compositions, with over 200 now recorded and available on this website completely free to listen to. Mary has co-written several of the songs and plays an essential role behind the scenes, ensuring each piece is recorded, organized, and shared. Through modern AI-generated musical production, Gary’s long-written songs have been brought to life.
They do not ask for donations. Instead, they invite you to support the mission simply by listening.
Every time someone presses play, $1.00 is generated to support veteran causes, helping fund housing assistance, mental health services, rehabilitation support, and community outreach for veterans and their families.
Each song is more than music. Each listen is gratitude in motion. Each dollar helps carry the mission forward.
For artists, producers, and performers who wish to share these songs with a broader audience, the music is available for licensing, with all royalties directed toward supporting veteran causes.
Press play. Honor a hero. Keep the promise.
